每一天都是不同的! There are four people I train with regularly and each day I ride along with one of them. What is something you were surprised to learn in your time as an intern?

I became inspired to learn about the equipment we were running tests on. The knowledge you walk away with is exciting and allows me to feel even more ready for my final year of school!

This experience has allowed me to build relationships with people even outside the company I work with. Relationships and knowing someone can help you reach your goals a lot faster than your own. It has allowed me to realize more of what I do want to do when I graduate and what I do not want to do. The internship you choose over the summer can turn into a career or it can create a stepping stone into a career you did not yet realize you wanted. It has certainly gotten me even more excited about my future after 塞迪斯史蒂文斯学院!

Tell me a story about something that happened one day as part of your time as an intern?

One day I went with another employee who works on CAD and reviewed a house that needed some porch renovations. A van had driven up off the road as it tried to around a car and damaged the corner of the porch. A column broke off and the porch floor had been damaged, along with the roof now sagging. We measured how much flooring we needed to replace and the railing and columns that needed to be replaced as well.

Would you recommend seeking out an internship to other students at 塞迪斯史蒂文斯学院?

I would recommend to other students to work in their respective fields in an internship as it gives real world experience, and you also make more at a technical skills internship than you might make elsewhere.

This experience will help when I look for jobs in the future and employers see this on my resume. It will help me with having more experience for when I actually step into the field.
